I'll be curious how this turns out; his denials are fairly strong

Maybe it's far less clear cut than the allegations. Maybe he's guilty. Dunno yet. I do know that if he hired a girlfriend, or slept with employees (not donors, donors are a more gray area IMO), then he was stupid.
